LGN Partner Chris Sandberg spoke at the 2010 Regional Communications Forum on June 9 in Minneapolis. The Forum is an annual presentation of the Communications Law Section of the MSBA (Chris is on the Section Council) and this year's theme is "Who's Got the Wheel on the Information Highway?" Chris was on a panel examining the National Broadband Plan.

LGN partner Chris Sandberg taught Information Privacy Law at the Hamline University School of Law during the 2010 Spring Semester. The course introduced students to the development of information privacy laws in the United States, and the impact of privacy law on society; it drew on Chris' work on behalf of clients who create and handle sensitive information as part of their operations.

The Louisiana State Bar Association sponsored the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Symposium on May 25, 2010 in New Orleans. An experienced faculty was assembled to address the complex issues associated with this tragic spill.

Ms. Riebel spoke about the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Litigation. In 1994, she was a member of the trial team that won a $5 billion punitive damages jury verdict for the plaintiffs in the Exxon case.
