National Association of Attorneys General

Richard A. Lockridge and Gregg M. Fishbein, LGN partners, attended the 2007 Spring Meeting of the National Association of Attorneys General in Washington, D.C. The agenda included discussion of a variety of issues, including antitrust, consumer protection and federal legislation.

International Union of Police Associations

Karen Hanson Reibel, LGN partner, addressed the 2007 Public Safety Pension Conference, a presentation of The Institute for Police Research and the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO, in Sarasota, Florida. Her topic: “Executive Pensions, Parachutes and Options Packages: How They Hurt Your Plan.” Richard A. Lockridge, partner, and Sherri L. Juell, LGN institutional investor liaison, also attended the conference.

Mayor Coleman on The Central Corridor

The Environment and Natural Resources Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association sponsored a seminar during which St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman gave a presentation on The Central Corridor. The seminar took place on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at the Minnesota State Bar Association, 600 Nicollet Mall, Suite 380 (third floor of the City Center) in downtown Minneapolis.

Minnesota Telecommunications Association

Members of the Minnesota Telecommunications Association heard Chris Sandberg present an update on key regulatory issues for users of telecommunications services. Mr. Sandberg reviewed key recent developments in telecom regulation at the state and federal level, and answered questions about upcoming events and changes on the regulatory horizon.
