Susan E. Ellingstad heads the firm's employment law department. Ms. Ellingstad is a 1993 cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was an editor of the Minnesota Law Review, and a 1989 magna cum laude graduate of St. Olaf College. Ms. Ellingstad was Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert G. Renner, U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and has been an adjunct professor for the University of Minnesota Law School legal writing program. Ms. Ellingstad specializes in issues of employment discrimination, harassment, employment contracts, and compliance with state and federal employment regulations, and also practices in the area of business litigation. She has successfully defended employers in discrimination cases in both federal and state courts, including the Minnesota Supreme Court. Ms. Ellingstad frequently writes and lectures on sexual harassment and other employment law issues and conducts training seminars for business. She also mediates employment law cases.
