This year’s Best Lawyers rankings were based on an analysis of over 7.8 million peer nominations submitted earlier this year, which are divided by geographic region and practice areas before evaluation on the basis of professional expertise. Those who receive high peer reviews undergo an authentication process to make sure they are currently practicing and in good standing. The list will be published by U.S. News & World Report later this year.

Six LGN Attorneys Named North Star Lawyers for Pro Bono Work

The Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) has recognized LGN attorneys Elizabeth OdetteKate Baxter-KaufRick LinskAnna Horning Nygren and Kristen Marttila as North Star Lawyers.

North Star Lawyers are MSBA members who have provided 50 hours or more of pro bono service to low-income individuals or organizations that serve economically disadvantaged individuals during the 2017 calendar year. In 2017, over 928 MSBA members provided over 106,400 total hours of pro bono service – an estimated value of $21,300,000 in free legal advice.
