LGN’s Federal Relations Team Monitors Surprise Billing Legislation

LGN’s Federal Government Relations Group is closely monitoring the “surprise medical bills” legislation that is moving forward in the U.S. Senate and House with bipartisan support. These healthcare bills are noteworthy for two reasons. First, the bills could affect any Minnesotan with a self-insured employer-sponsored health plan. According to the ERISA Industry Committee, there are about 181 million Americans who get health care through their employer, and about 100 million of them are in self-insured plans.

Lockridge Grindal Nauen completes over half of its 40440 service projects in honor of the firm’s 40th Anniversary

Lockridge Grindal Nauen’s 40440 initiative is halfway to its goal of completing 40 acts of service in honor of its 40th year in business.

From volunteer hours for local community organizations to donations to area non-profits, LGN attorneys, government relations professionals, and staff have completed over 20 acts of service so far.

Thank you again to all of the LGN attorneys and staff who helped with these projects and to the area non-profits who have partnered with us to kick off this initiative. Rick Linsk reappointed to Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee

LGN attorney Rick Linsk was reappointed to a three-year term as a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch. The order by Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea was announced on November 20, 2018. Mr. Linsk practices civil litigation with LGN and previously was a newspaper journalist for 20-plus years.
