Overview

Emily Bingham is a student at the University of Minnesota Law School, class of 2026. She graduated from Wartburg College in May 2020 with majors in International Relations and German Studies and minors in Intercultural Studies and History. After graduating, Emily spent a year serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA member at VEAP, the largest food pantry in the Twin Cities. In this role, she worked on initiatives to diversify the volunteer corps and created and led VEAP’s first high school summer volunteer program. Emily then worked full-time in the volunteer department at VEAP. She also gained non-profit experience at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota Refugee Services, where she managed the volunteer program. As a 2L, Emily looks forward to working as a certified student attorney in the Federal Immigration Litigation Clinic and as a Student Instructor in the Legal Research and Writing Program. She also looks forward to serving as Secretary of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice.
